Over this session, we will discuss how the digitization program at the Natural History Museum generates digital records from physical objects, museum data standards, and infrastructure, and how it gets used in the larger research and education community.
Museums contain vast collections that tell the story of the landscape we inhabit. These collections are used continuously by museum staff, researchers, and educators. The infrastructure for creating, holding, and sharing this research provides interesting challenges.
