About me
Professional Bio
I am a dedicated 5th-grade educator with 15 years of teaching experience in rural Utah. I am passionate about fostering excellence in literacy, mathematics, and technology integration. My instructional approach emphasizes hands-on projects, Thinking Classroom strategies, and innovative digital tools such as Adobe Express to actively engage students and develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
I strive to cultivate a genuine love of learning through differentiated small-group instruction, Math Olympiad coaching, and immersive novel studies. By creating a dynamic, student-centered classroom environment, I encourage curiosity, collaboration, and discovery in every learner. Whether guiding students through technology-driven projects, interactive science experiments, or meaningful reading experiences, I am committed to empowering each child to reach their full potential—one learner at a time.
In addition to my classroom role, I recently earned my Instructional Technology Coach certification and serve as an IT Assistant Specialist and educational software coach. I support teachers and students in effectively integrating technology into instruction while promoting safe, healthy, and responsible digital learning environments.
Outside the classroom, I am a wife, mother of two, and proud grandmother of two energetic grandsons. I find joy and renewal in the outdoors, enjoying hiking, camping, and hunting with my family. I bring that same spirit of adventure and wonder into my teaching, helping students see learning as an exciting journey of exploration.
I am continually seeking new opportunities to inspire both students and fellow educators, supporting their growth and success in meaningful ways.
